The company has not revealed the exact amount of the “multi-million” dollar acquisition, but Wignall said it's under $10 million.

The new line will consist of Ultiboard for pc-board layout, Ultiroute for automatic routing, and Multisim for analog and mixed-signal simulation. The company also said it is changing its branding so that Electronics Workbench is now the name of a product line, but not of an individual product. The company has also announced the acquisition of Ultimate Technology, a Dutch provider of pc-board CAD software. TORONTO Electronics Workbench is the new name for Interactive Image Technologies Ltd., maker of the Electronics Workbench product, which the company touts the highest-volume EDA tool in the world.
